Merlinhawk has always been in the front to venture into new and innovative technologies.  Involvement in programmes with user organisations, initiating new projects on our own, where takers have been few or none at all, or investing our resources to work on challenges has been our characteristic hallmark.

With our involvement and expertise in the aerospace industry for over two decades, we have invested in design and development of technologies specifically suited to our markets. This has empowered us to design and manufacture products that not only meet exacting specifications but also work under harsh and adverse conditions.  As products need to be operational for many decades, our design concepts integrate seamlessly with several / multifunctional airborne platforms.

A range of technologies including demonstrative capabilities has been internally funded. Our primary investments have been in technology development in aircraft monitoring and testing systems.  This vision will, we hope, convert Merlinhawk from being predominantly a supplier of globally recognised products and services, to a subsystem partner for OEM and major customers in the government and civil sectors.  With strong offset policies under implementation in India, this is an increasingly viable proposition where we can offer value addition to our potential business partners.  Our plan is to ensure that our customers are able to improve their operational capabilities within limited resources. We review legacy systems, existing platforms and available resources with our customers to ensure satisfactory solutions.  We also engineer new solutions using the latest in technology for all long term requirements.

The projects currently in the pipeline provide us the opportunity to develop and test emerging technologies.  We have systems in place for rapid prototyping of new products.  The technology spin-offs from our Aerospace R&D have also allowed us to innovate products in the healthcare and security segments.
